The Good: A smart phone with attitude, this phone combines office applications with beautiful modern styling. Plus the phones jam-packed with features including Bluetooth and EDGE support.

The Bad: Feature filled indeed but this phone comes up lacking in the speed department. If you want fast and quick loading, you better steer away from this phone. In some cases it took several seconds just to display a menu. The lack of Wi-Fi while not surprising due to the phone size, is another reason some consumers may want to consider other options.

The Bottom Line: This phone revolutionizes the look of bulky smart phones into small, stylish and slim. Even though it has some software issues, these are minor compared to the features this phone has to offer.

Review: Samsung BlackJack SGH-i607

The Good: The 3G-enabled Samsung BlackJack is sleek, has a gorgeous screen, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Highlights include Bluetooth 2.0, push e-mail capabilities, and good call quality. This Windows Mobile smart phone also comes with support for Cingular Video and Cingular Music services.

The Bad: Navigation controls are cramped, and there is no integrated Wi-Fi. Certain applications take some time to load.

The Bottom Line: The Samsung BlackJack heralds another 3G-enabled smart phone to Cingular’s lineup. While it supports the carrier’s video and music service, some design and performance issues trip up this otherwise sexy device.

If you’re a Verizon Wireless customer, and you want a smartphone without all the clutter that goes along with a QWERTY keypad, then the Pantech PV-820 is here to answer your prayers. Running Windows Mobile 5, the average-looking flip phone has access to your Exchange server, the ability to read Office documents from your corporate network, and all the other (hard-to-use) goodness of Windows Mobile: Smartphone Edition.

Besides rocking the MS OS, the VZN clamshell features a 1.3-Megapixel cam with flash (nice!), Bluetooth, and EV-DO. In addition, you get a microSD card slot for music. Since the WinMo comes with a micro version of the Windows Media Player, this phone is in line with the rumors that VZN is switching its music strategy from its V-Cast service to Microsoft’s PlaysForSure, meaning music you download from any PlaysForSure store should play nice with this $149 Pantech.

Eten released a new PocketPC, which features a quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, an FM Radio, WiFi 802.11b/g and a GPS receiver. The glofiish M700 also has a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a Bluetooth 2.0 and supports file transfer with a computer by the miniUSB port.

M700 has a relatively low memory, 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM, but, fortunately, can be extended using the microSD memory card slot. It’s powered by a 400 Mhz processor, made by Samsung and will come with Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.2. It also featured a 2 megapixel camera, 2.8″ 65 colors touchscreen display, with a QVGA resolution.

Eten glofiish M700 it’s a great all-in-one and will be available since this month.
